Rubén Olmos
Senior Advisor, Latin America
Rubén Olmos is a senior advisor for Latin America at Grayson & Co. He is the founder and CEO of Global Nexus, an advisory firm based in Washington, DC and Mexico City that helps clients anticipate, respond, and influence the business and public policy conversation in Latin America and the United States. The firm provides strategic counsel on government and public affairs, political risk, legislative monitoring, business development, and diplomacy for cities and states.
He has more than 25 years of government and political experience operating at the nexus of the U.S.-Mexico relationship and the wider Latin American region, advising clients on a range of federal, state, local, and foreign administrative and legislative matters. He has combined his professional and academic life in Washington, New York, and Mexico.
Rubén also currently serves as an advisor to the CEO of 2Gether-International (2GI), an organization that connects disabled founders with the resources they need to thrive.
He is regularly scheduled newspaper, radio, and TV columnist, for which he analyzes U.S.-Latin America relations. Rubén holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and public administration from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and a master’s degree in public administration from The American University in Washington, DC. He is a dual U.S.-Mexico citizen and resides in Washington, DC with his wife Susan and children Sofia Elena and Joshua.
